Extra credit— The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life.

I think this book is a good book for students to read in 2020.

I find this book particularly interesting, and the imitation theory has a good explanation for social interaction behavior. At the same time, the cases in the book reveal a lot of inside information, very interesting.

Reading this book made me think deeply about some phenomena in my daily life. Many of the examples in the book are what happens in our lives. The author examines some common phenomena in our daily life from the micro angle, analyzes their essence, and gives them a certain theoretical color. For example, a psychiatrist who helps people treat mental illness knows many secrets, but others don't know his secrets, so he is called a "service expert" in the book, and he appears to be a non-starter, but he participates in the performance. In addition, in front of the male students, the female students pretended not to know, and the male students played the role of actors to give the audience an ideal impression.

There are other behaviors that seem completely opposite but have in common in this theoretical sense, such as lying or talking honestly, that are completely opposite, but both behaviors are acting to maintain a particular definition of the situation. The same is true of pretending to work and pretending not to work.

Suggestion: People must face themselves sincerely, in a long life, can rely on the drama class, only yourself.
