Extra Credit : Advertising analysis in which a young woman or girl is sexually portrayed (Hojeong Lee)

<The first commercial for 'Seoul Milk'> I would like to analyze the issues related to sexual objectification advertisements that have recently been controversial in the pop culture and art world. First, Seoul Milk faced controversy over sexual objectification by releasing an advertisement with the concept of comparing women to cows. I will attach the link to the controversial advertisement video at the bottom. As shown in the video, the advertisement begins with a man with a camera wandering around a remote area. Along with the narration, "We finally succeeded in capturing their appearance on camera," it even captures a man hiding in a bush, drinking water in a stream, and secretly filming women doing yoga. And when a man accidentally stepped on a branch, women suddenly turned into cows, and the advertisement ignited controversy over sexual objectification in the advertising industry by comparing women to cows and even capturing men. The BBC also criticized the ...

project2——HE YUNONG

During this period of time, we have observed the public space of Ansan Cultural Square.   First of all, I will introduce the Ansan Cultural Square, the place we observed during this time.This is a park located in Ansan City. The park is roughly divided into two parts based on pedestrian crossings.The first part has a view of the main square with fountains and outdoor lights.You can also often see the bridge square and gallery square used by people who practice skateboards and bicycles, and finally extend to the forest square suitable for walking. The other part is composed of water square, small pond and small bridge.Because there are water-related facilities gathered here, as the weather gets hotter, more and more people play and escape the heat here.And this park is a pet-friendly park, so people walking dogs can be seen in the square many times. There are large supermarkets and shopping centers on both sides of the square, as well as various restaurant, coffee shops and beauty s...

  We chose a large park in the Wuyi Square business district of Changsha, China. This is a park that is square in physical space. The main function is to serve this huge business circle.I think the good aspect of this public space design is the geographical location. Wuyi Square is located in the central area of the city with convenient transportation. The dense layout of six subway stops makes the square easy to reach and convenient for citizens and tourists. Second is the spatial planning, the park covers a large area, providing enough space for people to relax and gather. It is designed with wide walking paths and open lawns so that people can walk freely. The park has a large number of green plants and landscape decorations, including flower beds, trees, and fountains, to increase the beauty and amenities of the square. These green elements not only provide visual enjoyment but also help to improve air quality and provide a comfortable environment for people. Around the square,...

public space - Huang yixiao

Our public space of choice is the park. This place is also where our group assignment 2 will be observed for two weeks.   As our studying, whether a good public space can be determined requires people to have a reason to come to this space and use this space. Then there’s the comfort and the image that draws people in.   In fact, I  live behind this park, and I will definitely pass this park on the way to school every day. I observed that at 8:20 every morning, the cleaning staff were already cleaning the sanitation of the entire park. Because of the large space, residents living nearby will come here to walk their dogs.  And this park not only has a kid's play slide but there are also adults who can use the fitness equipment.  So we think this is a great space.  however, there are also disadvantages which that there is no administrator, and I may not have noticed it.

I thought the book "Social Life in Small Urban Spaces" was a very interesting book and I watched the documentary film. It explores the relationship between social life and urban space by studying the space of small cities, and provides valuable ideas for understanding urban social life. White's rigorous and in-depth way of thinking is worth learning from. He explores the relationship between urban social life and spatial structure by making many interesting points, such as the fact that social life in cities is inseparable from spatial structure, and that the structure of urban space determines the way social groups interact. He also delves into the phenomenon of social life in small cities through a large number of case studies to better understand the relationship between space and society. These perspectives and case studies have given me a deep understanding of the diversity and complexity of urban social life. Before conceiving a building one should understand the mu...

  Summarize : The book grew out of a study by Mr. White called the Street Life Project, in which Mr. White and his fellow researchers, armed with clipboards, cameras and tripods, climbed rooftops, wandered New York's plazas, sat along streets, and observed the city's public Spaces. After 10 years of observation, White put together a book of his findings. The conclusions of this book are drawn from direct observation. "Direct observation", which is now almost a "lost" skill, if you do not do big data, quantitative analysis, as if there is no research, is not "scientific". But in fact, a lot of common sense is acquired without the sacrifice of dragon slaying. It is often assumed that children play in the streets because there is no place to play. But is it possible that many children play in the streets precisely because they like them? To figure this out, you don't need to resort to complex analysis. Just observe whether children are having fun ...
